DUTIES IN LIFE

Sometimes in life people believe it's there duty to find the truth out even when sometimes it's best to just leave things unknown and just move on in life. We sometimes think knowing everything is best. Well sometimes it can be good and it can be bad to think it's your duty to do these this. In the book 12angry men the judge makes the jury duty to do this to know everything that has went on during the crime scene learn every fact and to use it to judge someone's fate. He does this by saying "It's now your duty to sit down and try and separate the facts from the fancy". This is an example of having the duty to know everything as a good. This is example of a good because I'm our court of law this is how we judge weather someone in this case should be sent to the death or let free. So if we was to just not know everything we would just be sending people away and choosing their fate without using or knowing the facts to the situation. But one bad example of people thinking its duty to know everything is in Edipus.in the story Edipus killed  his father and did exactly what the prohet said he was going to do . But in the story he was so focused on trying to find out who killed his dad and send him away for doing so that he was really the one and instead of listen to him wife/mother and just taking over the kingdom and just runing it right .he decide he had to know even thou his life was perfect and set he had to know and he wide up finding out that he was really the one that did it. This example shows how when people think it's their duty to know all of the facts that it can go bad instead of just living and continuing to do right by everyone. Do you think knowing everything can be a negative in someone's life? And do you think that knowing to much can be bad and change your fate badly?
FATE

On Friday Mrs.momreo showed us some examples of blogs and once was on this book 12 angry men that I am currently reading and in the blog the main topic was fate and how is our fat really in our hands or in the hands of other . It also connected to another book we read Oedipus and in this book his fate was decided by others. But I think our fate is destined by a series of people who we have never met nor have in connections too or a connection to each other.  In the book 12 angry men the boy who is being prosecuted is being judge by the 12 jury who gets to choose his fate; weather he goes to the electric chair or is set free due to what they believe is right. With out him knowing the boy at all. But this not what I a, talking about the men not knowing the boy but how the men in the story never met each other before seen each other nothing but have the fate of another human in there hand. At the end of the movie they all walk out of the court house and as all of the jury is leaving #9 catches up with # 8 and asked him " What's your name. Jury #9 answer McCardle and#8 introducers him self as Davis" just reminded us that people who don't know each other can control other fate. Just as in Edipus the 2 shepards men who never knew each other controlled Edipus fate by not killing him and , giving him a second chance in life just as the 12 angry men gave the boy another chance to live. These two story's both have people who don't know each other crossing paths in another person life to decide the fate of the main character .changing the the characters life with each decision that these stranger make.
Do you think other people who you may never meet help choose your fate? And do you think everyone fate crosses panther with someone else's ?
